Anatu yawned, slowly crawling out from an abandoned den. Her eyes scanned the area before stretching her body out. She shook her coat and sighed. The youngster wasn't sure what she was going to do now that she left the group she grew up in. But she didn't regret it. She knew she'd soon find her own path to walk. Whichever way it leads.
She raised her nose, taking in the scents around her, before walking off towards the most interesting one. It was the strongest scent. One of many many lions. This was her first being around so many other big cats (not that she was anywhere near them) so she was curious as to how they lived. She had heard little of the Pride which made her cautious and curious. Though she has very little (if any) respect for them.
She had heard the adults saying that Pride cats were cowards. That they could only survive under the protection of their leader and couldn't even manage to provide food for themselves. Anatu couldn't think of not hunting for herself. Let alone not needing to eat anything. She has known hunger and wouldn't dare go more than she needs without something to eat.
Anatu reached her destination after a few miles. She was still a long ways from the pride, but she found herself a raised rocky outcrop to watch them from afar. She had lowered her body between two large boulders, much like she was hunting prey, trying to keep herself hidden from any wandering eyes. She watched a small group of pups wrestle and chase each other, letting out a small annoyed grunt, she turned her gaze to a large reddish male walking off in the opposite direction. There was so much going on that she couldn't just focus on one or two lions. "What's so great about living here..." she mumbled to herself in vexation.

Suddenly the arch erupted into light. After a few moments, three lions came through. Two exasperated-looking lionesses and a dark-coated male with a massive and fluffy mane. A gold dust suddenly swirled around them and surrounded them. He grinned, saying something to them and nodding before they both left him in great haste. With a heavy sigh, he looked to his paws, kicking a pebble. "It's like they don't even like all the complements I give.." he muttered to himself. He was a young lion, having only transformed into his adult form just forty years ago, and was trying his hardest to impress the females. Perhaps trying too hard. He diverted from the path normally used to head to open and main part of the pride. Despite being a social butterfly, he felt the need to have some time to himself. His large paws were oddly unclumsy over the terrain as he made his way to the unknown lands, to a boarder there far from the pride's heart. Once atop the ridge, the golden dust surrounding him fell away. He looked over the ridge, seeing the mountains surrounding the pride's heart. He headed further along the ridge for miles more before noticing a light-colored form settling between two rocks. Curious now, he headed toward it, making sure to keep quiet and out of sight. He was close enough to see the figure was a female- a beautiful one at that- and catch what she said. "I don't know what you meant by that, but I know that it would be a lot more beautiful with you there." he said smoothly, approaching her.

Anatu was too focused on the movements of the others to notice the male appearing behind her. At least, until he spoke, his voice causing the female to jump in surprise. Her fur was bristling, sticking up on her shoulders, fluffing up her tail and raised along the ridge of her spine. She whipped around clumsily, shooting daggers at whoever dared speak to her. A male. "...great" groaned in her head. Anatu decided she stayed here long enough, thinking if he was here others might be close by, and she was in no mood to deal with a group of strange lions. Not, that she ever is, but you get the point. "Mmhmm......Why don'tcha just go back from wherever it is you crawled out from." she growled softly as she moved to walk past him and deeper into the unknown lands.

Faustus jumped as well when she reacted. He hasn't meant to frighten her. He watched her bristled fur for a moment before returning his focus to her face. "I didn't mean to frighten you.." he murmured, voice suddenly having changed from extreme confidence to a much more apologetic tone, "I'm sorry, ma'am." He had moved in front of her a part of the way, "I'm just visiting back home from Z-99, no doubt I'll have to return." His task as a prison guard kept him away from for long periods at a time, his visit home would last for a few days before he'd have to return to duties.

Anatu looked at the large male, irritated at his words. "...Don't call me ma'am." she warned with an annoyed and slightly offended tone. "do i seem that old..." she huffed... z-what? she paused her steps, looking at him curiously now. "From where?" she asked, her head tilting ever so slightly to the side. There were so many things those lions never bothered to tell her in her youth so she was easily pulled in by new things.
